About Us

OUR STORY

Founders Vinny Giglio and Dr Mark Halteman are passionate about helping others through real estate. Their goal was to create a boutique development and investment company to help family and friends have access to the types of deals that can build real wealth for them, as well as future generations. As projects and opportunities continued to flourish, others began asking how they could get involved. With the pent-up demand, MV2 Investments expanded to allow additional members to join the growing family of like-minded investors.

We have a reputation for being unafraid of an unconventional approach, but our strategies are simple, even if our tactics are not. We specialize and focus our efforts in emerging markets, multi-family, mixed-use, commercial developments, and in making  buildings “the place” people want to be. We create opportunities that add value and meet the current demands of the community. This allows us to develop with minimal resistance from the city officials and existing residents. We invite you to be a part of our vision while building long term wealth for yourself.

OUR APPROACH

We focus on new growth and suburban areas. When we seize new growth land opportunities, we dream big. As North Carolina and surrounding states grow, new employment hubs begin to thrive where there once were vacant lands. MV2 envisions transit-oriented, pedestrian-friendly communities to best service the needs of future residents and tenants in these evolving locations. We collaborate with community stakeholders, public entities, and capital partners to make this happen.

Dr. Mark Halteman

Partner

Mark started his real estate career in 2001 when he developed a 25,000 SF office complex. He was balancing his practice and real estate investments until retiring from practice in 2007 to focus exclusively on real estate. He has since developed, acquired, and partnered on over 700 multi-family units and 45,000 SF of commercial space. He enjoys challenging projects and creating a win-win for all involved. He currently resides in both the Turks and Caicos Island and Cornelius.

Vinny Giglio

Partner

Vinny began his real estate career in 2006 when he joined a mortgage brokerage specializing in commercial properties in Orange County, CA. In 2009 he left the corporate world and started his own brokerage, Beach Lending Apartment Group. He has since closed nearly a thousand 5+ unit loans and has built a reputable referral business. His expertise in commercial and multi-family real estate allows him to source the best loans for our products and maximize returns. Vinny is an Army Veteran, past airline pilot, car enthusiast and father of 2.

Amy Jarrett
VP, Operations + Design

Amy has 15+ years of industry experience spanning architectural design and construction. She's passionate about being a catalyst for change, challenging the status quo, and building relationships. With a background in interior architecture, business development and real estate development, she manages and maintains all daily operations and is the liaison between the ownership and design/construction teams. She lives in Mooresville with her husband and 2 sons and loves to travel the world.

Lee Ann Giglio

Administrative Manager

Lee Ann was a legal secretary at law firms in LA in the mid-70s to early 90s, specializing in entertainment and real estate. She and her husband managed 70 units of apartments and opened a mortgage business for single family loans. Lee Ann took over running the mortgage business from 2004-2016 after her husband became disabled. In 2017, she joined the MV2 Team assisting with leasing and other administrative duties. Lee Ann is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 4 who enjoys cooking, photography, scrap-booking and being outdoors.

CONSULTANTS & ADVISORS

Mike Cassarino – Construction Manager / Owner’s Rep.

As Owner of Latitude 35 Solutions, LLC, Mike helps manage all aspects of the Development process, from selection of the Design Team to moving occupants into their new space.  He procures the General Contractor and oversees the project to ensure an on-time and on-budget delivery. Mike brings over 30 years of experience as a construction professional working directly in Real Estate Development. Mike is also a licensed General Contractor and Lake Norman resident.

Ben Cassarino – Legal Counsel

Ben has over 25 years of experience in law and currently serves the greater Charlotte area with a concentration in commercial real estate transactions and land use and zoning matters.  In 2007, he was the President and General Counsel for The Catellus Group, a small boutique real estate development and investment firm in Charlotte.  He oversaw operations, acquisitions, due diligence, construction, management, permitting, approvals, development, dispositions and strategy.  In 2012, he received the award for Outstanding Solo Corporate Counsel by the Charlotte Business Journal and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

You can invest in a cash flowing real estate venture with as little as $100,000.

WE DO THE WORK

We acquire land through a strict screening process in areas that will yield the best cash flow for apartments or commercial space with the goal of maximizing your returns.

YOU COLLECT DISTRIBUTIONS

Earn a higher return than traditional investments and receive quarterly distributions once the project is stabilized. You'll receive a preferred return to ensure you're paid back as quickly as possible.

expect transparency

You'll have complete access to project progress throughout the life of the investment with monthly summaries, photo updates and completion percentages for full transparency on the schedule.
